VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT - Sonographers

Baptist Medical Centre, Nalerigu is a Christian health facility committed to providing prompt, compassionate, and professional healthcare services to our community. We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Sonographer to join our Radiology/Diagnostics Department.

To perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, support accurate clinical diagnosis, and contribute to timely patient management in line with professional standards and the mission of the facility.

• Perform obstetric, abdominal, pelvic, small parts, and other ultrasound scans as required.

• Ensure accurate interpretation and documentation of findings in patient records.

• Maintain and ensure proper use of ultrasound equipment and report faults promptly.

• Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols during procedures.

• Provide clear explanations to patients and ensure their comfort during scans.

• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to support diagnosis and treatment plans.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics at all times

• Degree in Medical Imaging/Sonography from a recognized institution.

• Valid license and registration with the Allied Health Professions Council, Ghana.

• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.

• Competence in obstetric, gynecologic, and general abdominal ultrasound.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Must have a National Service certificate.
